Story & Positioning
Creed Original Santal launched in 2005, created by Olivier and Erwin Creed as a tribute to the royal and spiritual splendor of India. Centered on a rich sandalwood signature often associated with Mysore, it weaves warm spice and silky woods into a smooth, enveloping trail. Cinnamon and ginger add a radiant glow, while creamy vanilla and tonka bean lend softness and depth. The result is a refined, warm, woody, sweet fragrance that feels opulent yet tranquil, ideal for anyone seeking a sophisticated signature with lasting presence. Frequently discussed for its resemblance to Montblanc Individuel, which many wearers consider a close smell-alike or affordable dupe. Original Santal and Montblanc Individuel do not have the exact same smell, but they are very similar, especially in the dry down, with Individuel having a notable clean, fresh linen or dryer sheet accord that is more pronounced than in the more complex and nuanced Original Santal.
