Albert Fouquet set out to honor his close friends Alessandro and Chiara, an Italian couple with a villa in Provence where they relaxed amid the freshness of over 1,600 wild plants that bloomed each year. Every spring he traveled from Antibes to join them, reveling in the colors and aromas. During one visit, as Alessandro decanted wine he made from his own grapes, he shared that his next diplomatic post would be in the distant Philippines; though he enjoyed traveling, he missed Provence with melancholy. Months later, after the couple had settled in the Philippines, Fouquet surprised them with the perfect gift: a perfume that transformed the exuberant scents of Provence’s plants into fragrance. Presented in a beautiful green flask, this unequalled, uniquely fresh creation was named “Champs de Provence.”
Bottle and Design
A clear rectangular glass bottle with straight sides presents the pale juice behind a neat front label that carries the name with minimalist grace.
