Story and Positioning

Introduced as the founding pillar of the Encre Noire line, this composition celebrates the beauty of wood through a pared-back structure that lets vetiver take center stage. Its success inspired a fuller wardrobe within the series, including Encre Noire Pour Elle in 2009, Encre Noire Sport in 2013, and the deeper À L’Extrême in 2015, so enthusiasts can move from airy freshness to shadowy depth without losing the signature character. 

 

Bottle and Design

The bottle is a minimalist cube in smoked glass that reads like a desk inkwell, complete with a weighty square cap and discreet lettering that enhances the object like a piece of modern crystal. Its silhouette is directly inspired by René Lalique’s Biches inkwell from 1913, linking contemporary perfumery to the house’s glassmaking heritage for instant shelf presence.

Due to hygiene and authenticity concerns, we do not accept returns if the plastic layer on the perfume box is opened.

In Case of Damaged or Defective Products
If you believe your order has arrived damaged, broken, or with the wrong contents, please record a full unboxing video from the moment you open the sealed plastic poly-mailer.

Ensure the video clearly shows: The sealed packaging before opening, the process of unboxing, the issue (e.g., leakage, damage, wrong item)

Send the unedited video along with your order number to our support team within 24 hours of delivery at support@elusiev.com

We will review the footage and get back to you with a resolution. If the claim is approved, you will receive a replacement if stock is available or a refund.
